Atopica (Cyclosporine) is an FDA approved oral solution prescribed to treat common and chronic skin allergies in cats (allergic dermatitis). It helps relieve severe itching, red and scaly skin.
Precautions & Side Effects
Atopica is prescribed for cats 6 months old and older weighing at least 3 lbs. Do not clean or rinse the oral syringe in between uses. Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant and can increase the risk of infection. Do not use in cats with a history of cancer, leukemia or feline immunodeficiency virus. Do not combine Atopica with other immunosuppressive treatments. Contact your veterinarian immediately if your cat experiences any of the following symptoms: Allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips or tongue), vomitting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or muscle cramps.

Administer 3.2 mg per pound by mouth once a day for 4 to 6 weeks. Follow your veterinarian's instructions.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 59° and 77°F. Keep away from pets and children. Use contents within 2 months of opening for the 5 mL container and 11 weeks for the 17 mL container.
