Description & Usage

Baytril Otic (Enrofloxacin / Silver Sulfadiazine) is an antibacterial topical solution used to treat outer ear infections (otitis externa) in dogs caused by bacteria and fungi.  

Precautions & Side Effects

Side effects are rare but watch out for hearing loss, redness of the ear or balance disorders. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any of those symptoms. Do not use Baytril if your dog is allergic to floroquinolone antibiotics and/or sulfonamides.

 

 

Enrofloxacin 5 Mg, Silver Sulfadiazine 10 Mg.

Directions

The recommended dosage is 5 to 10 drops twice daily for 14 days. Shake well before use. Lift up your dog's ear and tilt its head upward to administer the treatment. Gently massage the affected area to evenly coat the outer ear canal. Do not discontinue the treatment prematurely even if your dog's condition improves. Do not use in cats.

Storage

Store at temperatures below 77°F. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Use within 90 days of opening.

Bayril Otic (Enrofloxacin / Silver Sulfadiazine) is a water-based floroquinolone antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the ear canal in dogs.  Baytril Otic was the first FDA approved solution to treat otitis externa in dogs.

How to give Bayril Otic to my dog?

Apply 5-10 drops in your dog's ear canal twice daily. Gently massage the area to ensure even distribution of the medicated solution. 

Is Bayril Otic effective?

Bayril Ottic (Enrofloxacin / Silver Sulfadiazine) will clear out infections of the skin and ear canal (bacterial and yeast) by stoping DNA synthesis within the organism. You pet's symptoms should improve within days when used as recommended. Do not use for more than 14 days. Do not stop the treatment prematurely even if your dog's condition improves.
