Extruded PVC Center Cores

Round holes evenly distribute stress, preventing cracks and collapse, unlike square holes. Independent testing shows no difference in flow rates or energy draw between the two types. As long as the hole area in the center core is equal to or greater than the end cap opening, there's no flow restriction—basic hydraulics.

Reinforced Center Cores

Larger Filbur cartridges incorporate reinforcement “wheels” to allow for increased debris loading and pressure differential while protecting the structural integrity of the cartridge.

Threads Molded Directly into the End Cap

Easy to install and remove, our structurally sound cartridges outperform those with PAD adapters. Independent testing shows that PAD adapters decrease flow rates and filtration due to unnecessary restrictions, while our threaded cartridges allow unrestricted water flow.

Reinforced Antimicrobial End Caps

Screen mesh is directly inserted into the end cap for added strength, similar to rebar in concrete. Antimicrobial end caps repel odor-causing bacteria and mold, and resist common pool and spa chemicals.

Embossed Part Numbers

Allowing for easy identification and re-ordering, the embossed part numbers are clearly molded into the end cap.

Complete Pro Kits Available: Universal Grids are available in complete Pro Kits with seven full and one partial grid for a complete filter change-out.

Welded Seams: Seams are stitched with heavy- duty, chemical-resistant string and are sonic welded to prevent fraying.

Fewer Glue Joints: These combine with reinforced grid spines to increase the torsional strength and prevent snapping when assembling the manifold.
