Description & Usage
Trifexis Chewables is a 3 in 1 protection for your canine against fleas, heartworm and intestinal parasites. Its formula is designed to stop flea infestations, protect against heartworm and treat and control adult hookworm, roundworm and whipworm infections. These beef flavored chews are loved by dogs and can be given to puppies who weigh at least 5 lbs at least 8 weeks old.
Precautions & Side Effects
Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection prior to starting the treatment as Trifexis is not effective against adult heartworms. The most common adverse reactions witnessed include Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, lack of appetite, and itching and reddening of the skin. Vomiting is more common with puppies less than 14 weeks old. If your dog experiences any of these symptoms, call your veterinarian immediately.

Directions
Trifexis should be given once monthly as a year-round preventative treatment against heartworm disease, parasites and flea infestations. The appropriate monthly dosage should be determined by your veterinarian based on your pet’s weight. Do not use Trifexis on cats.
Storage
Store at controlled room temperatures between 68° - 77°F.

Trifexis is an FDA approved, 3 in 1 monthly treatment to protect your dog against hookworm, whipworm, roundworm infections, heartworm disease and flea infestations.
Is Trifexis effective against fleas?
Trifexis is 100% effective in killing fleas in as quickly as 4 hours. It continues to kill fleas for up to 30 days after treatment. The treatment should be given monthly to control and prevent future infestations.
Is Trifexis effective against hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and heartworm?
Trifexis can effectively treat and remove adult hookworms, roundworms and whipworms. Trifexis can prevent heartworm disease by killing early larvae stages that can develop after an infected mosquito bite. Your dog should be checked for existing heartworm disease before treatment as Trifexis does not kill adult heartworms.
Can I use Trifexis on my cats?
No, Trifexis should only be used on dogs.
How quickly does Trifexis work?
Laboratory studies have shown that Trifexis can start killing fleas within 30 minutes and kill 100% of the fleas within 4 hours.
Can I use Trifexis to prevent Ticks?

Can I use Trifexis to prevent Tapeworm?
No, Trifexis does not treat Tapeworm infections. Trifexis is a 3 in 1 monthly treatment to protect your dog against hookworm, whipworm, roundworm infections, heartworm disease and flea infestations.
